Charge cooler
Water transfers heat more efficiently than air which is one of the reasons we've gone for a liquid/air solution to cool the hot charge of air produced by the supercharger (the air heats up as it is compressed).
A heat exchanger which is a small radiator is mounted up front in the air-flow and this cools the water that is pumped through the core.
 
Our charge cooler cores are of the highest quality and are sourced from Bell Intercoolers. They are true liquid/air cores and are manufactured in the United States using vacuum brazing.
With the integrated chargecooler/plenum solution the path that the air takes from the supercharger into the engine is dramatically reduced compared to a front mount intercooler setup or remote mounted charge cooler. 
The result - almost no lag, better throttle response and very low pressure drop maximising the potential performance gains.  Our design has also overcome idle drop/stall which is a common issue experienced with supercharger setups.
Testing has shown the air temperature in the plenum - right before it enters the cylinders, to be colder than on a standard non-boosted setup.
 
 
Kit 2 - Excludes Intake Plenum - Charge Cooler $1400 AUD
Go with your own cooling setup or straight to the manifold (low boost only)

You will need to fabricate your own shorter intake plenum , I can advise you on what you need to do.
  • Utilise your own front mount IC setup or
  • Keep it simple and go straight to the inlet manifold with the option to upgrade later (recommended for very low boost or a methanol/water injection setup).

 

What does a Mitsubishi FTO go like with a Supercharger fitted?

The pull is vastly improved and the sound - well you decide...

Latest testing from May 2018 - the FTO ran a 13.76 1/4 mile at Perth Motorplex.

Individual parts (brackets, pulleys etc) start from $90 AUD

  • If you don't want a full kit but would like the brackets, double pulley, or other parts then get in touch as these can be provided individually too with prices starting from as little as $90 AUD.
  • Upgrade to a chargecooled plenum - if you've gone low boost with either no cooling or a front mount and want to upgrade get in touch.

This was a Mitsubishi FTO GPX Tiptronic running at around 6psi before the boost was increased, it eventually ran a 14.06 at 7psi on stock tyres.

These fitting kits do not include the supercharger (an M45 from a Mini Cooper S), there are a few other parts that the customer must also source, please get in touch if you have any questions or would like to discuss further
